We utilize digital impression scanners, digital x-rays and low dose CBCT.
NO MORE GOOP, GAGGING, OR DISCOMFORT!
The TRUE DEFINITION SCANNER by 3M is an innovative technology that allows Dr. Van Westen to take a highly accurate digital impression of your teeth! The scanner is a compact, hand-held wand.
Digital impressions give you the ability to see your teeth instantly in 3D, which improves communication during the consultation and provides you with a more comfortable patient experience.
Your mouth is scanned with a radiation-free laser, and in as little as two to three minutes, a digitally perfect, 3D impression of your teeth and soft tissue emerges. Through digital software, you’ll be able to follow the progress of the scans, including a three-dimensional model of your teeth on our computer screen. Once the scanning process begins, it can be stopped and started as many times as necessary.
Advantages of Digital Impressions
- Easy, fast, and comfortable scanning, especially for kids!
- Accurate and consistent impressions
- All appliances can be made from one scan
Low-Dose Radiography and 3D Cone Beam
The OP300 MAXIO is the most comprehensive imaging system. It provides panoramic, cephalometric and cone-beam 3D radiography for the entire maxillofacial region, from localized diagnostics to the entire face, including TMJs, sinuses, and the cervical spine if needed.
The OP300 MAXIO provides high clinical performance while being simple and easy to use. The most important feature of this new technology is the safety for our patients while still providing 2D and 3D capabilities in high-quality images.
Low-Dose Technology (LDT) provides images with low-dose scans for sensitive cases such as children, follow-up imaging, implants, and impacted teeth planning while maintaining high quality. In addition, the Automatic Dose Control (ADC) automatically regulates exposure levels for each individual patient.
